Q: What did you eat today?
A: Scrambled eggs. I don't eat that much. Orange juice. A sandwich. Ate some fruit. Drank some cherry juice. Had some water. I wasn't that hungry today.
Q: The nutritionist you have for the team talked about something called "hummus." Have you heard of that before?
A: Yes. I had it on my sandwich.
Q: Do you like quinoa?
A: Never heard of it.
Q: I take it you haven't been to Whole Foods recently.
A: Nahh. I don't go there.
Q: OK, what's in your backpack on a daily basis?
A: Books. iPad. Pens. Pencils. Notebook. I only have two classes.
Q: Are you a good studier?
A: If I want to be, I am. Pretty much. No one wants to study, but you have to if you want to make good grades.
Q: Do you like Twitter? Do you do Facebook?
A: I like it, but I'm not on it. I don't tweet on the regular or do much on Facebook.
Q: Do you feel like a lot of people act like they know you but you have no idea who they are?
A: Because of my size. They just assume I play football. I tell them I'm into tennis and golf. Soccer, too.
Q: If you couldn't play football, what would you do?
A: Something with video games. I like "Call of Duty." "Madden." Adventure games. Shooting games.
Q: Did you always know you were going to play football?
A: Not really. I didn't start until I was in the eighth grade. It was with God blessed me with.
Q: Will you be sad when you can't play any football anymore?
A: Nahh. I'll be happy. I'm sure I'll be really tired.
Q: Monday was the first day of class at OU. What's a piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?
A: Be on time. Sit at the front of the class. Pay attention.
Q: And do you do all that stuff? Do you take your own advice?
A: Not now, because I'm a veteran. I know how to study and pay attention. I know what works.
Q: Is there a game on the schedule that you wish was here this week? Right now?
A: Texas. Can't wait to play Texas.
Q: When you go out around town, do you have to be mindful that people might be watching?
A: I think so, but I really don't think like that. I just be myself.
Q: What's something people don't know about you?
A: I'm engaged. Been with my fiancé for five years. We got engaged on Christmas. We're going to be married, probably in 2015.
Q: What's on your gift list?
A: You could get me a car or a nice, giant, flat-screen TV.
