Skyler Howard had a big game, leading the West Virginia Mountaineers to a decisive win over Texas Tech. I had mentioned that I would be playing Patrick Mahomes as well as Skyler Howard, although I would have more exposure to Howard.

I am glad I leaned Howard’s way as he had 318 passing yards, 89 rushing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and 2 rushing touchdowns. This monster game grabbed 40.62 fantasy points for Howard on FanPicks.

My second play at quarterback on the week was Chad Kelly who had a similar stat line despite the Rebels falling to Arkansas. Kelly also ran for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns, but threw for only 253 yards, and a score, failing to get the passing yard bonus points. An interception also hurt his point total, but he still finished with 34.02 fantasy points.

My first pick at running back was LSU Tiger backup running back Derrius Guice who continued to fill in for Leonard Fournette. Guice continued to run well for the Tiger’s, showing the embarrassment of riches at the position. Guice ran for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground, while catching one pass for 7 yards. That stat line ended in Guice garnering 32.9 fantasy points.

My second pick at running back made me a little nervous going into the week. I was unsure of how many touches Kendrick Foster would get for Illinois against Rutgers Saturday. Foster got enough touches to have a big day though, running for 108 yards, and 1 touchdowns. Foster also added 2 catches for 8 yards while 1 went for a score. Foster finished with 28.6 fantasy points.

Had my main picks at receiver been just a little better, I would have been set up for a big week, after my quarterback and running back picks put up big numbers.

Both picks at receiver combined for only 6 receptions for 76 yards. with Shay Fields grabbing 2 for 20 yards, and Isaiah McKenzie snagging 4 for 56. Fields finished with 4 fantasy points, while McKenzie had 9.6
