Remember the time Cindy Crawford distracted GSP while he was fighting?

With the bright lights shining down and the noise of the crowd, you always wonder whether the fighters inside the Octagon actually notice the individual people sitting outside the cage cheering, booing or just being in the general vicinity.

Do fighters see their wives or children sitting nearby as they do battle? Can they see a sign in the crowd or a particularly loud patron either rooting them on or hoping for their defeat?

Well, former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre confirms that at least some fighters (him) have noticed certain people in the crowd during a fight.

In his case, it was during his bout against B.J. Penn at UFC 58 in 2006, when GSP spotted a model sitting cage side. He says he was so struck by her beauty that he actually got distracted and stopped fighting for a moment.

"I was like, 'My God, she's so beautiful ... she's probably the most beautiful woman I've ever seen,'" GSP says in the video below:

In GSP's defense, he was staring at Cindy Crawford, and the famous supermodel certainly isn't hard on the eyes. But apparently she's so beautiful that the Canadian lost focus for a few seconds, when he should have been paying attention to the fiesty Hawaiian looking to take his head off.

Luckily, GSP regained his focus and went on to beat Penn by split decision before winning the UFC welterweight title in his next fight.

They say beauty can tame the beast, and it seems GSP isn't immune to the charms of a gorgeous woman -- even if she's just sitting nearby watching him fight.
