Robert Woods 'excited' to be home, eager to get to work with Goff, Rams
Robert Woods' smile was as bright as ever.
The newly-signed receiver for the Rams addressed the media for the first time on Friday and could barely contain his excitement of returning to his hometown to continue his NFL playing career.
"Always wanted to come home and play for the hometown team," Woods said. "It's a big day. Looking forward to working with Jared Goff.

"Big things going on (with Rams) on the offensive side; I'm very excited to be a part of it."
Woods, who was born in Carson and starred at Serra High School and USC before heading to Buffalo in the 2013 NFL Draft, will be looked at to use his versatility and compete in both the inside and outside receiver positions.

"We're lucky to have him," Rams coach Sean McVay said. "He's one of those rare players who has the ability to play both on the inside and the outside."
In 57 career NFL games, Woods has 203 catches for 2,451 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Also on Friday, the Rams introduced left tackle Andrew Whitworth, who started 164 of his 168 career contests during his 12-year stint with Cincinnati. The three-time Pro Bowler has also seen action at left guard and will be an immediate upgrade to the Rams' offensive line, McVay said.
