Rose Namajunas cuts off hair, Paige VanZant might join her for charity

It's a fairly common sight for most of the women's fighters in the UFC to walk into the Octagon with hair braided back to ensure it doesn't block their field of vision during a fight.

Well, former "Ultimate Fighter" finalist Rose Namajunas was so tired of dealing with hair in her eyes during practice, she went one step further.

She cut off her hair.

Namajunas posted a picture of her new look, which is much more about function than fashion, on Instagram a few days ago. (WARNING: NSFW language.)

"It's a fight, not a beauty pageant," Namajunas wrote. "S--t's in my way at practice. Cut it off!"

Namajunas got a win over her former "Ultimate Fighter" housemate Angela Hill a few weeks ago at UFC 192, and now she's set to fight Paige VanZant at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Dec. 10.

Namajunas might not be the only person in that fight with a lot less hair — VanZant currently is fundraising for a cancer charity and if she hits her mark, the 21-year-old phenom will cut her hair as well.

VanZant actually teased the possibility of shaving her head previously, but this time she's working to earn $10,000 in donations for charity and if she reaches her goal, then she's going to get a major haircut.

However, it's unlikely she's going to go for the full buzzcut like her opponent.
