Each Stanley Cup Champion gets to spend a day with Lord Stanley's trophy. Newly-acquired Columbus Blue Jacket Brandon Saad, who won the trophy with the Chicago Blackhawks in June, decided to spend his day with the Cup at Pittsburgh's IAP Air Reserve Station with the 911th Airlift Wing.
According to the 911th Airlift Wing's website, "the 911th Airlift Wing includes approximately 1,220 Air Force Reserve members that provide force support in various military career specialties. The base also employs approximately 350 Department of Defense civilians."
Saad, a Pittsburgh native, brought the Cup back to his hometown and posed for pictures and signed autographs for many of the members of the 911th Airlift Wing take pictures with it.
