San Diego Buzz: Padres make first moves, college basketball is back

These are nowhere the blockbusters deals Preller made last season, but nonetheless proves again that he is in pursuit of improving a team that has been disappointing to its fans for the last few years.

In case you missed it, the first ever college basketball game at Petco Park will take place on Dec. 5 between San Diego State and San Diego. On Wednesday, FOX Sports San Diego announced that it will be producing the game live for all to see.

The college basketball season is upon us, and FSSD has announced a slate of 132 games featuring seven local games from SDSU and USD, alongside matchups from the Big East, Big 12, ACC, Conference USA and Big West conferences.

By now it is well known, especially around San Diego, that this has been a horrendous Chargers season. So the only way to take it in is to enjoy some sad Philip Rivers memes.

Brie Thiele hit up the Chargers/Bears tailgate on Monday night where she played a game of "Bigger + Better," trying to trade her way up tailgate to tailgate till she was satisfied with her best trade.

On Wednesday night, DeAndre Jordan made his first trip back to Dallas since he changed his mind from signing with the Mavericks to re-signing with the Clippers. The crowd let him have it with these clever signs, and then the Mavericks' Twitter handle stepped in with Emojis after.

For some reason unknown, hundreds of Chris Denorfia bobbleheads were discovered in San Diego.
