Ron Turcotte, who guided the legendary Secretariat to victory in the 1973 Kentucky Derby en route to the Triple Crown, blasted Churchill Downs racetrack for mistreatment on a website post.
Turcotte was paralyzed in a race-riding accident in 1978 at Belmont Park which left him a parapalegic.
In the post, Turcotte claims the track would not make handicap parking available to him on Derby days. In fact, he states that a film company he was working with had to pay $500 to get him a parking spot, the New York Daily News reported.
