Shepard ready to take on Baylor
Oklahoma receiver Sterling Shepard is ready to take on Baylor.
A season ago, Shepard missed the game, a 48-14 loss, with a groin injury. OU's offense struggled as Trevor Knight completed only 12 passes.
In 2013, Shepard was knocked out of the game in the first quarter, a 41-12 loss, when he was injured after a tackle from Bears cornerback K.J. Morton in the first quarter.
Shepard has three catches against Baylor, all coming in 2012.
"I've thought about that," he said Monday to The Tulsa World. "I'm definitely excited to be able to play, with a healthy body, against those guys."
Shepard has 47 catches this season and seven touchdowns. He is averaging 17.6 yards per catch.
