SLU falls 76-67 to St. Bonaventure in fourth straight loss

ST. LOUIS -- Jaylen Adams scored 23 points and grabbed seven boards as St. Bonaventure finished the regular season with five-straight wins, beating Saint Louis 76-67 on Saturday night.

Adams was 6 of 14 from the field including four from distance for the Bonnies (22-7, 14-4 Atlantic 10 Conference), who continue to the conference tournament on March 11. Marcus Posley added 18 points and four assists and Dion Wright had 16 points and eight rebounds.

Adams sank back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the first half and two more later in the period to help the Bonnies to a 41-33 lead at the break.

Saint Louis cut the lead to 48-44 on a pair of Mike Crawford free throws with 13:57 to play but St. Bonaventure pulled away after that, extending its lead to 59-49 on a dunk by Wright with 9:40 remaining.

Reggie Agbeko scored 20 points with 16 rebounds for the Billikens (10-20, 5-13).
