SLU puts together back-to-back wins with 76-68 victory over Fordham
ST. LOUIS -- Mike Crawford scored 21 points on a perfect 6-for-6 shooting from the field and Saint Louis beat Fordham 76-68 on Saturday night.
Jermaine Bishop added 17 points for the Billikens (10-16, 5-9 Atlantic 10), who have won back-to-back games following a five-game losing streak.
Saint Louis shot 52.3 percent from the field and got to the free-throw line 30 times, hitting 23 of them.
Ryan Rhoomes led Fordham (13-12, 4-10) with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Christian Sengfelder added 14 points.
Saint Louis took a double-digit lead early on in the second half on a 3-pointer by Ash Yacoubou. The Billikens kept Fordham at arm's length for much of the period until an 8-0 Rams' run, capped by a Rhoomes' layup, cut it to 60-56 with 2:46 left.
But Crawford drilled a 3 on the next possession for a 63-56 lead, which effectively iced it.
