StaTuesday: Suter to join exclusive club with 200th Wild assist
Ryan Suter just keeps on going.
Long known for his big minutes, the 33-year-old still leads the Minnesota Wild in average ice time at 26:43. He has nearly two full minutes on second-place Jared Spurgeon, and ranks second in the league behind Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty.
His consistently extends to the score sheet as well.
Suter racked up 200 assists in six seasons with the Nashville Predators, and now has 199 assists in six seasons since joining the Minnesota in 2012.
He's poised to become just the 11th player ever to reach 200 assists with two different teams, a list that features seven Hall of Famers.

Of those players, only Carlyle, Timonen and Gonchar have yet to be enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Suter would become just the fifth Wild player to register at least 200 assists and the first defenseman to do it, joining forwards Andrew Brunette (202), Marian Gaborik (218), Pierre-Marc Bouchard (241) and teammate Mikko Koivu (455).
Of those five, Koivu is the only one to spend his entire career with the Wild. Bouchard spent the bulk of his career in Minnesota, but played 28 games with the New York Islanders in his final season.
