Suns' Knight plays for first time in almost two months

Suns guard Brandon Knight on Thursday played in his first game since Jan. 19 and scored 10 points in 25 minutes against the Denver Nuggets.

He didn't play Wednesday in the loss to New York, and interim coach Earl Watson was fine with him sitting despite being active. "He had a sports hernia, a slight tear, so you know that's serious," Watson said. "That injury kind of ended my career, so I understand the seriousness of that injury."

It was Knight's decision not to play against the Knicks, and he apparently gave the go-ahead on Thursday.

"It's just a matter of getting my rhythm back, getting my game legs back," Knight said, "trying to pace myself so I don't overdo it too early and try to stay healthy."
