ST. LOUIS — Vladimir Tarasenko could be out for an extended period of time after the team announced the Blues forward would be re-evaluated in 10 days for an upper-body injury.

Tarasenko was a surprise scratch from Saturday's game against the San Jose Sharks.

He reportedly sustained the injury in Thursday's 4-0 win against the Los Angeles Kings. He recorded a goal and an assist and played 16 minutes and 50 seconds in the game.

Jaden Schwartz filled in for Tarasenko on St. Louis' top line with Ryan O'Reilly and Brayden Schenn on Saturday.

In 66 games this season, Tarasenko leads the Blues with 28 goals and ranks second on the club with 58 points.
