Teddy Bridgewater says he didn't want to be drafted by Browns

Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was on the board when the Browns traded up and selected Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel with the No. 22 pick.

While getting drafted higher means a bigger payday, Bridgewater was happy he fell past Cleveland's pick and Minnesota traded up to select him as the final pick of the first round.

In an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show Tuesday, Bridgewater said he told his agent Cleveland was not the place he wanted to be.

Bridgewater, of course, expressed his comfort with the Vikings, which is a no-brainer considering he's the guy who will lead their charge.

Patrick said the Browns were impressed with Bridgewater's remarks that he would make everyone who passed on him pay, which Bridgewater said was "somewhat accurate."

How the first-round quarterbacks pan out in time is always interesting to follow and this only adds more juice to the process of watching it play out.

For now though, Bridgewater won't have to worry about coming to Cleveland any time soon. Minnesota is not due to play the Browns until the 2017 season.
