NOTABLE:

LSU: The Tigers won their first seven games before a three-game losing streak put coach Les Miles' job in jeopardy until a regular season-ending win over Texas A&M. Also, Fournette leads the country with an average of 158.3 yards rushing per game.

Texas Tech: Led by Mahomes, the Red Raiders are second in the country with an average of 389.7 yards passing per game. Texas Tech defeated its only other SEC opponent this season, a 35-24 win at Arkansas on Sept. 19.

LSU: This is the Tigers' first trip to the Texas Bowl, and it's LSU's 16th straight bowl game.
