Timberwolves release preseason schedule
The Minnesota Timberwolves announced their three-game preseason schedule on Friday morning.
Minnesota will begin the preseason Sept. 30 with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers in Anaheim, Cal. before departing for two games as a part of NBA Global Games China.
The two preseason games in China – both against the defending champion Golden State Warriors – will be played Oct. 5 and Oct. 8.
The first game will be held in the Shenzen Universiade Center and the second game will be played in the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
It marks the first time Minnesota will play in China in franchise history and its first trip to Asia since the Timberwolves played in Japan in 1999.

Minnesota begins the regular season with a road matchup against the San Antonio Spurs Oct. 18. The home opener will be two days later against Ricky Rubio and the Utah Jazz Oct. 20.
