Twins place Polanco on bereavement list, recall Vargas

The Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday that shortstop Jorge Polanco has been placed on the bereavement list following the death of his grandfather.
Kennys Vargas will rejoin the Twins in Polanco's place after being sent down to Triple-A Rochester late last month.
Polanco -- who is hitting .251/.299/.358 this season -- could miss as many as seven games, but is required to miss at least three games due to MLB rules..
Vargas has appeared in 24 games for the Twins this season, hitting .258/.483/.763 with five home runs and 19 RBI.
