Ty Rattie signs one-year, one-way deal with Blues
With the departure of David Backes, Troy Brouwer, and Brian Elliott this offseason, the St. Louis Blues were going to have room for some new faces.
Or, maybe, familiar ones.
On Wednesday, the Blues announced they'd signed forward Ty Rattie to a one-year, one-way contract worth $650,000. Rattie has played in 26 Blues games over his young career (he was the team's second-round draft pick in 2011), with 13 of those coming last season. His NHL career numbers add up to eight points (four goals, four assists).
The bulk of his work over the past few seasons has been in the AHL. Last year, he had 46 points (17 goals, 29 assists) over 62 games. The year prior, he was selected to the AHL All-Star game, and the year before that, he topped all AHL rookies in goals with 31.
