UC Bearcats basketball this week on FOX Sports Ohio
As the University of Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball season begins this week, FOX Sports Ohio is presenting a half-hour look at the team with Inside Bearcats Basketball Preview, premiering Thursday, November 11th 6:30 p.m., following Bearcats Sports Weekly with Tommy Tuberville.
In this show, host Dan Hoard explores a Cincinnati Bearcats team that was among the nation's Top 25 in scoring defense last season.
Cincinnati returns all five starters, its top six scorers and nine lettermen from the 2014-15 season that saw the Bearcats finish 23-11, tie for third in the American Athletic Conference (13-5) and advance to the Round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. Mick Cronin also returns to the sideline this season after sitting out all but the first nine games last season due to a vascular condition known as arterial dissection.
Hoard also visits with women's Head Coach Jamelle Elliott as she re-focuses her team philosophy on speed and quickness. That and more this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on Inside Bearcats Basketball Preview.
FOX Sports Ohio will also televise live from Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena the men's game vs. Robert Morris this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tom Gelehrter and Terry Nelson will call the action with Lauren Gardner reporting sideline.
