UCF makes solid effort in second half, stays winless with loss to Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Ramadi Warren ran for three touchdowns as Tulsa beat winless University of Central Florida 45-30 on Saturday.

Warren finished with 168 yards rushing for the Golden Hurricane (5-4, 2-3 American Conference). Dane Evans threw for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns and was intercepted twice.

Evans' two scoring passes went to Conner Floyd in the first quarter. Warren ran it in from short yardage for another score in the second quarter to help lift Tulsa to a 24-3 halftime lead.

UCF closed the gap to 24-20 with a pair of touchdowns and a field goal in the third quarter. But Warren wasn't finished, running for two more touchdowns in the fourth to extend Tulsa's lead to 38-23 with 7:38 to play. Then Michael Mudoh scored on an 86-yard interception return to seal the win.

Justin Holman threw for 293 yards and two scores for the Knights (0-10, 0-6).
