UFC 221: Down goes Rockhold! Yoel Romero scores knockout with violent uppercut

Despite missing weight on Friday, ahead of his interim middleweight championship at UFC 221 at Perth Arena in Australia, Yoel Romero had enough in the tank to send Luke Rockhold to the mat with a violent uppercut in the third round on Saturday.

Romero (13-2) will face champion Robert Whittaker (19-4) in a rematch of their UFC 213 bout, where Whittaker outpointed Romero in five rounds. Romero was since upgraded to full champion when Georges St-Pierre surrendered the belt.
