Upshall signs one-year contact extension with Blues
After helping St. Louis make it to the NHL Western Conference finals for the first time in 15 years, Scottie Upshall will be back in a Blues' uniform this fall.
The team club signed the 32-year-old to a one-year contract extension after the forward dressed in 70 regular season games with the Blues last season. He finished with 14 points (six goals, eight assists). Upshall also made 17 postseason appearances with the club.
Upshall, originially drafted sixth overall by Nashville in the first round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, is a veteran of 13 NHL seasons and has accumulated 248 points (121 goals, 127 assists) and 524 penalty minutes overall in 623 career regular season games, as well as 13 points (five goals, eight assists) and 58 penalty minutes in 43 career postseason games.
