USC unveils upgraded football practice facility (VIDEO)
Next to be checked off of the list is an upgraded football practice facility at Howard Jones/Brian Kennedy Field. The USC athletics department unveiled the first look at the updated field on their Instagram page Monday morning.
The primary field, as you walk into the facility, is still grass but there is a patch of black turf that serves as a welcome mat of sorts with a cardinal USC logo. The grass on the adjacent field has been ripped out and replaced by a turf field.
The cardinal walls that surround the facility have now been decorated with signage that highlights some of the accolades of the program and also has pictures of some of the great USC players of the past such as Willie McGinest, Troy Polamalu, and many others.
The newly renovated practice facility is one of many upgrades that the football program has enjoyed in recent years.

In 2012, the John McKay Center opened and became primary housing for the USC football team and coaches.
The Coliseum has seen a number of upgrades over the past couple of seasons, including a new video monitor, upgraded recruiting lounge, new signage, upgraded restrooms and ... with more renovations are expected in the future.
The Trojans open the 2015 season on Sept. 5 at home vs. Arkansas State.
