Vikings agree to one-year deal with safety Kurt Coleman
Kurt Coleman's visit with the Minnesota Vikings ended last week without him signing a contract.
Apparently he'll be returning to Minnesota to finish the paperwork.
Coleman, 25, has agreed to terms with the Vikings, his agent, Blake Baratz, tweeted Monday afternoon.
"Congrats to my man @k4coleman on getting it done w the @Vikings. 2 for 1 special, contract and a new neighbor. Minny will love this dude," Baratz wrote on his Twitter page Monday.
A source confirms to FOXSportsNorth.com it's a one-year deal.
Coleman had received a contract offer last week when he visited the team, but left to decide on his options.
Coleman has played four NFL seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles after being a seventh-round draft pick out of Ohio State. He started most of two seasons in Philadelphia, with 29 starts over his career to go with seven total interceptions and 11 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.
He played in 15 games last year, all as a reserve, and had 14 tackles. He had a career-high 93 tackles in 2012 and adds to a secondary that will brings back starters Harrison Smith and Jamarca Sanford at safety. Minnesota also has Andrew Sendejo, Robert Blanton, Mistral Raymond and Brandan Bishop as safeties on the roster.
