Watch: Cubs' Bryant scores on Little League-style home run

Published Apr. 21, 2015 9:25 a.m. ET

The official scorebook reflects a Kris Bryant double in the seventh inning of Monday's Cubs-Pirates game in which the ballyhooed rookie third baseman eventually circled all the bases thanks to two Pittsburgh errors on the play (just keep running, kid, until you get tagged out).

Bryant's first non-Little League-style home run will have to wait until another day but this error-enabled version of a homer ought to hold off the crowd who expected to see him walk on water and hit three moon shots in his first week in the bigs.

After striking out three times in his debut, the 23-year-old has raised his average to .429 with six hits in the Cubs' past three games.
