WATCH: Kirk Cousins acts as DeSean Jackson's hype man in funny mic'd up video
Life is pretty good right now for Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins. First of all, they compete in the NFC East, where, at an even 7-7, they control their own destiny and can secure the division crown and a playoff berth with a win at Philadelphia on Saturday.
More broadly, head coach Jay Gruden has been vindicated for his September decision to hitch a wagon to Cousins as the starting QB for the 2015 season, despite some early season struggles. And by virtue of some sustained, solid play, Cousins, set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2016, probably has a nice payday coming in Washington or elsewhere.
