While we were all getting ready for New Year's parties, Mike Trout was rolling a monster truck tire full of weights. 

Why? Because he's Mike Trout, best player in baseball, that's why. 

We can only speculate Trout's resolution this year was to chase yet another MVP award, having finished second in 2015 for the third time in four years.

Trout won the AL MVP award in 2014 but his Angels are coming off a season in which they came up just short of making the playoffs. It appears Trout is detemined not to let that happen in 2016.
