Watch the moment when Dexter Fowler surprised Cubs teammates with return to camp
Surprise, surprise, Chicago Cubs faithful. Dexter Fowler signed a one-year deal with the Cubs on Thursday only a few days after reportedly agreeing to a three-year, $35 million contract with the Baltimore Orioles.
The particulars of why/how he returned to the Cubs are unclear (the O's reportedly balked at giving Fowler an opt-out), but he's back.
And it appears it was a pretty big surprise to his teammates who were gathered on a field when the outfielder came strutting out in street clothes.

"My heart's here," Fowler told MLB.com's Carrie Muskat. "I feel like the Cubs, they treated me with the utmost respect. With the offseason moves they made, you've got to go with what's comfortable."
Time to go grab a glove, Dexter!
