With forward Zach Parise sidelined for at least a couple of games, the Minnesota Wild on Saturday called up forward Christoph Bertschy from Iowa.

Bertschy, a sixth-round draft pick of the Wild in 2012, will be making his NHL debut. In 12 games with the Iowa Wild this season he had two goals and four assists.

Last season with SC Bern of the Swiss League, Bertschy tallied 14 goals, second on the club, with 16 assists and a plus-14 rating.

The native of Fribourg, Switzerland will wear No. 47 with Minnesota. The Wild host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night on FOX Sports North.
