Wild cut training camp roster to 49 players

The Minnesota Wild announced Wednesday that they have reduced their preseason roster to 49 players following a 4-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Defensemen Guillaume Gelinas and Alex Gudbranson, forward Adam Gilmour and goaltender Adam Vay were assigned to the AHL, while forward Dmitry Sokolov was returned to the OHL.

Parker Bowles, Alex Petan and Nolan Zajac were released.
