The Wild and the Chicago Blackhawks are taking things outside on Feb. 21, and they'll have a new look for the occasion.
Minnesota unveiled the uniforms that the team will wear for the upcoming Stadium Series contest at TCF Bank Stadium, a dark green riff on the team's away uniform that features a prominent "State of Hockey" logo on the shoulder.
The new gear also includes a large, stylized "M" on the pants leg, designed in the same script found on the Wild's green third jerseys.
Now in its third season, this year's Stadium Series begins in Minnesota and continues on Feb. 27 with a matchup between the Detroit Red Wings and the Colorado Avalanche at Denver's Coors Field.
The Stadium Series also includes an alumni game on Feb. 20 that will pit former Minnesota Wild players like Darby Hendrickson and Andrew Brunette, as well as former Minnesota North Stars forward Mike Modano, against their Blackhawks counterparts.
