Wild invite 22 players to training camp, set roster at 60
The Minnesota Wild announced on Wednesday that 22 players have been invited to training camp, including 21 players who competed in the 2016 NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan.
The group includes a variety of Wild prospects, including 2014 first-round pick Alex Tuch, who scored the game-winner for Minnesota in the final game of the tournament.
The Wild won in the seventh-place game, topping the Chicago Blackhawks thanks to goals from Tuch, 2012 sixth-round pick Christoph Bertschy and former Hobey Baker Award finalist Alex Petan.
The Wild also signed forward Colton Beck, who signed a two-year extension with the AHL's Iowa Wild earlier this year, to a tryout contract.
The additions join 38 players who had previously been invited to camp.
