The Minnesota Wild recalled forward Kyle Rau from the Iowa Wild, the team announced Friday.
In 36 games with Iowa this season, Rau has totaled 21 points (11-10=21) and is tied for second on the team in goals.
The Eden Prairie native and former Golden Gopher spent two seasons with the Florida Panthers (2015-17) before agreeing to a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild. He has totaled three points (2-1=3) in 33 career NHL games.
Rau is looking to become the 24th Minnesota native to play in a regular-season game with the Wild all-time.
Minnesota hosts the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday at 8 p.m. CT as part of Hockey Day Minnesota on FOX Sports North.
