Wild recall Teemu Pulkkinen in advance of Panthers matchup

The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Teemu Pulkkinen from the AHL's Iowa Wild.

Pulkkinen, 24, has recorded one goal in eight games with Minnesota this season and 15 points in 18 games with Iowa. He was claimed off of waivers from the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 11. Pulkkinen leads Iowa in goals, power-play goals (4), shots on goal (60) and ranks second in scoring.

The Vantaa, Finland, native owns 21 points in 78 career NHL contests with Detroit and Minnesota. Pulkkinen was originally selected by Detroit in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and wears jersey No. 17 with the Wild.

Minnesota hosts the Florida Panthers tonight at 7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports North.
