SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Tyler Graovac from the Iowa Wild. The team also placed defenseman Jonas Brodin on injured reserve. Brodin is expected to miss 3-6 weeks with a broken foot suffered on Feb. 4.

The 22-year-old Graovac was injured in the Wild's season-opening 5-4 win at Colorado on Oct. 8 after winning 9-of-12 faceoffs and skating a career-high 13:37. The 6-foot-5, 212-pound native of Brampton, Ontario, underwent successful bilateral core muscle repair surgery on Nov. 3 and was activated from injured reserve and assigned to Iowa on Dec. 12. Graovac has collected seven points (two goals, five assists) and 52 shots on goal in 19 games with Iowa this season. He has skated in four career NHL contests with Minnesota after being selected by the Wild in the seventh round (191st overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Graovac wears sweater No. 44 with Minnesota.

Brodin, also 22 years old, has collected six points (one goal, five assists) in 50 games with Minnesota this season and ranks third on the team with 72 blocked shots.
