Wild recalls Bertschy from Iowa

The Minnesota Wild announced early Wednesday that the club had recalled forward Christoph Bertschy from Iowa of the American Hockey League under emergency conditions.

Bertschy, 21, made his NHL debut on Nov. 7, in the Wild's 1-0 win against Tampa Bay and has played in a pair of contests with Minnesota during the 2015-16 campaign.

The native of Fribourg, Switzerland has collected nine points in 19 games with Iowa this season. The rookie ranks second on the team in scoring. Bertschy collected 30 points with SC Bern of the Swiss League last season. The 5-foot-10, 189-pound forward was selected by Minnesota in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 47 with the Wild.

Minnesota starts a stretch of three home games in four days tonight, hosting Vancouver at 6 p.m. at the Xcel Energy Center.
