Wild set December ratings record on FOX Sports North

The Dec. 31 Minnesota Wild-Columbus Blue Jackets telecast on FOX Sports North ranks as the highest-rated regular-season Wild game ever on FOX Sports North. The game closed out December for the team, which was the highest rated month of the season.

The highly anticipated matchup against the Blue Jackets generated a 8.10 household rating in the Minneapolis-St. Paul DMA, according to Nielsen Media Research, and was the No. 1 show in the market for adult demos.

Minnesota Wild ratings on FOX Sports North are currently trending 9 percent higher than last season.

In the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, 17,280 households represent one rating point. That means more than 138,000 households tuned in for Saturday evening’s game.

FOX Sports North will televise Thursday’s Wild matchup vs. the San Jose Sharks. Coverage begins at 9 p.m. with "Wild Live".
