The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Sam Anas to a two-year, entry-level contract starting with the 2016-17 season.

The 22-year-old Anas, a free agent, tallied 50 points this past season at Quinnipiac, helping lead the Bobcats to the NCAA championship game as a junior. The 5-foot-8, 160-pound native of Potomac, Md., led the team in goals and scoring and was second in assists. He was an all-conference first-team selection this past season.

As a sophomore, Anas, recorded 39 points and earned second-team all-America honors. He led NCAA freshmen in goals (22) and points (43) in 2013-14 and was recognized as the national rookie of the year.
