Since losing leading scorer Zach Parise to a knee injury on Nov. 6 the Wild are 31st in the league in goals scored, averaging just 2.36 per game, despite ranking 11th in the league overall at 2.69 goals per game.
And while Parise's return has helped, the Wild are still struggling to put the puck in the net.
But, well, it hasn't really mattered.
Despite their less-than-explosive offense, the Wild are winning and currently find themselves in the midst of a points streak that has elevated Minnesota to sixth place in the Western Conference, just four points behind the second-place L.A. Kings.
In fact, Minnesota has scored more than two goals just once during its current five-game points streak -- a 3-0 win over the Avalanche -- while allowing an average just 1.40 goals against per game during that span.
Since last year's all-star break however, the Wild have been among the league's best teams in low-scoring games.

Meanwhile, the Coyotes are allowing goals at a torrid pace, ranking 31st in the league at 3.18 goals-against per game, and have surrendered four goals more times than almost any other team in the league this season.

-- Parise has a 12-game point streak against the Coyotes, the longest active point streak vs. one team in the NHL.
-- Minnesota is tied for the second-longest active road win streak at Arizona -- five straight victories. St. Louis has won six in a row on the road against the Coyotes.
