Wolves' Towns wins fifth straight Rookie of the Month award
Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns has done it again.
And again, and again, and again, and again.
The top pick in last year's NBA Draft took home his fifth straight Western Conference Rookie of the Month Award on Tuesday, becoming just the ninth player to do so since the award's inception in 1981, and the first in franchise history.
Towns racked up 10 double-doubles last month, and led all rookies in rebounding with 10.5 per game, and field goal accuracy at 58.2 percent, while ranking second in scoring with 21.9 points per game.
The dynamic center picked up his fourth 30-point game of the season against Houston on March 18, before setting the Timberwolves' single-season rookie rebounding record in a win over Washington on March 25, breaking a record previously held by Kevin Love.
