100-year-old Besiktas fan tours new stadium in hospital bed
A 100-year-old super fan was so determined to see her beloved Besiktas' new stadium that she asked to be taken round on her hospital bed.
Meryem Ruacan, who has been a loyal fan of the Turkish club for most her life, was worried that she wouldn't be able to see the club's newly-built stadium after falling ill just after her 100th birthday.
However, Besiktas organized for her to leave hospital and take a VIP tour of the Black Eagles new home on her gurney.

The old Inonu Stadium, which was opened when Meryem was around 30, had a capacity of 32,086 and was demolished to make way for the new 43,500 seater bowl-shaped Vodafone Arena.
