15-year-old fan taken to court after taking on-field selfie with Lyon players
When Olympique Lyon scored three goals in 10 minutes to storm back from 2-1 down and beat Dijon 4-2 on Feb. 19, a young fan wanted to be part of the festivities.
The 15-year-old Lyon supporter stormed onto the pitch to celebrate with the team immediately following the fourth goal flying in, and in the process, he grabbed an on-pitch selfie with the Ligue 1 club's stars Alexandre Lacazette and Memphis Depay.

His selfie may cost him a lot more than he expected though, and he's been taken to court for his actions.
French journalist Julian Laurens of BT Sport's European Football Show revealed that the teen would be taken to court, sarcastically telling the show, "I think you need to kick out the hooligans from stadiums."
“This young boy is 15. He wanted to celebrate with his heroes Memphis Depay and Alexandre Lacazette after they scored their fourth goal against Dijon last week," he said. "So he ran on the pitch, took a selfie with Lacazette and now Lyon are taking him to court, suing him!"
“He said ‘I was so happy, I didn’t really think’ and now he has to meet the club in court.”
It is unclear specifically what the youth will be charged with at this time, but a club spokesman club spokesman told AFP that "we have made a complaint on principle to dissuade [people] and protect everyone's security."
Pitch invaders do indeed need to be dealt with, but let's hope the punishment isn't too severe. A kid celebrating with his heroes can't be the worst thing in the world, right?
