A definitive ranking of the UEFA Best Player nominees' outfits

Cristiano Ronaldo deservedly won the UEFA Best Player in Europe award for the second time in his career. In the process, he beat out Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale, and the man he defeated in both the Champions League and Euro 2016 finals, Antoine Griezmann. That's all well and good, but the true battle on the day was on the sartorial front.

Ronaldo, Bale and Griezmann lined up in three very different 'fits, but which was the best? Good thing you have me here, because I'm gonna tell you. Sit tight and don't argue, it's better that way.

1. Ronaldo

Ronaldo wins everything man. He's tall, he's good-looking, he works harder than just about everyone in the game, and dude knows how to dress. In general Ronaldo's just good money on the style front. He's bricked a few 'fits in the past, but today? Today was not one of those days. Mans showed up in a perfectly tailored navy blue windowpane suit, perfectly accessorized with a crisp button down, Carolina blue tie, and muted but stylish oxford shoes that just *clinches fist* work. It's trendy but classic, makes a statement but doesn't do TEW much. Winner, winner.

2. Antoine Griezmann

This has gotta be infuriating for Griezmann. If he comes in second to Ronaldo one more time he may actually spontaneously combust.

Griezmann got fried up and down the Internets for his outfit, but honestly? It wasn't bad. He took a risk going with the high break cropped trousers, but it works. He stepped out of the box going tie-less, and, in a sporty setting like this, that works too. The issue here is the sneakers. The sneakers are kinda dope. They'd probably be fire with a pair of joggers, or just in a different setting. But with the suit, they fall just a bit flat.

Here's the thing though. Griezmann is French. They get an all-time style pass just for being sartorial geniuses. So let that man cook.

Tfw you almost brick a fit, but you know you *just* pulled it off.

3. Gareth Bale

Bale did the bare minimum here to not mess this up. A plain, well-tailored black suit with no-nonsense oxfords is all well and good if you're going to a funeral or a business meeting. You're at an award ceremony though G, step outside the box or something. You could've at least thrown in a festive pocket square. Are you mourning the fact that you'll be bald soon? I would like some answers.

At least everyone can take solace in the fact that they didn't look like this guy on the left:
