Art is an imitation of life, and since life at its best is beauty, it follows that art at its best is an imitation of beauty.

Artist Case Jernigan has recreated Messi's sublime beauty of a goal in Barcelona's 3-1 defeat of Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final in simple, yet equally sublime fashion.

The term Mimesis, of Greek origin, can be defined as the imitation of life in art. In this particular case, the word might need to be changed to Mimessi, of Latin origin.
