Atletico Madrid defender Miranda set for Inter Milan switch
Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda is undergoing a medical in Milan on Tuesday ahead of his move to Inter Milan, the Serie A club has announced.
The Brazil centre-back will reportedly join the Nerazzurri on a 15million euro transfer and put pen to paper on a three-year contract.
A photo of Miranda on Inter's website was followed by a statement from the club which read: "Miranda is in Milan to undergo a medical."
Miranda, who competed with Brazil at the Copa America in Chile this month, joined Atletico from Sao Paulo in 2011.
The 30-year-old helped Atletico win the Europa League in his debut season at the club and the Copa del Rey in 2012-13.
Miranda started in 33 league games for Atletico to greatly contribute to the Rojiblancos winning the Primera Division title last year.
The South American made 23 starts for the Spanish club in La Liga this season.
Inter's other big signing this summer is French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who joined the Italian club last week from Monaco.
Inter, coached by Roberto Mancini, finished eighth in Serie A in 2014-15 and will not play in Europe next season.
