Aubameyang happy at Dortmund and dismisses transfer talk
Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the Bundesliga club this summer by insisting he is happy in Dortmund.
Aubameyang has been linked with a return to Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain or a move to Arsenal, but after scoring in a 2-0 friendly win over Juventus on Saturday, the Gabon international said he is going nowhere.
"You can take it for granted that I am not going to waste any time thinking about giving up how happy I am at Borussia, in the city of Dortmund and with this team," he told the Welt am Sonntag newspaper.
"Dortmund have won the title twice in the last five years, we reached a Champions League final and had Real Madrid on the brink of elimination in the group stage when they went on to win it.
"If I didn't believe that I could win titles with Dortmund, then I wouldn't be here."
Aubameyang does believe he can win things with the Westphalians, even another Bundesliga title, and even this season.
"There should not be any reason for any team to hide in this league," he said. "We've always proven we are capable of beating [Bayern Munich] in a single match, but of course they have a better chance over the course of a season.
"But I don't see them having any particular right to the title like many people here in Germany do."
