Barcelona holds last day of memorial tribute to Cruyff
BARCELONA, Spain --
Barcelona is holding its final day of tribute to soccer great Johan Cruyff at the Camp Nou Stadium.
Although the stadium opened its doors Saturday to a stream of thousands of mourning fans, Tuesday is the first day when members of the Cruyff family will participate, with son Jordi Cruyff expected to say a few words.
Barcelona's entire team paid homage to the former player and coach with a minute's silence before training began.
Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and his father were among the early visitors to pay their respects within the garland-strewn hall temporarily dedicated as a memorial chapel to Cruyff.
The club says that since Saturday more than 44,000 mourners had filed past the spot where a banner hangs saying ''Thanks Johan.''
