Borussia Dortmund takes on Real Madrid in Champions League power clash

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Borussia Dortmund may be the world's most in-form teams, but it puts its hot streak on the line against defending Champions League winner Real Madrid in a star-studded clash in Germany (2:45 p.m. ET, FS1).

Dortmund has scored 20 goals in its last four matches across all competitions, but it will face a stout defense and lethal countering side in Real, which is led by its Cristiano Ronaldo-Gareth Bale-Karim Benzema front line.

U.S. men's national team rising star Christian Pulisic is in the matchday 18 but not starting for Dortmund, which leads Group F after one game based on a greater goal differential. Dortmund routed Legia Warsaw 6-0 (with Pulisic assisting on a goal), while Real Madrid rallied late to beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1.
