Cavani's agent rules out summer transfer to Manchester United

Edinson Cavani's agent says the striker has no interest in leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer amid talk of interest from Manchester United.

Cavani was reportedly on Louis van Gaal's shortlist as he looks to boost his striker options next season and has been linked with a possible swap deal with Angel Di Maria.

PSG themselves insist they have no desire to cash in on the Uruguayan frontman who they signed in a French record £50milion deal from Napoli in the summer of 2013.

But while links to United refuse to disappear, the player's representative Walter Guglielmone claims a move has never been on the cards.

He told Journal du Dimanche: "This summer, Edi has received interest from big clubs who are looking for a centre forward.

"But he has not listened to them because the end of last season gave him guarantees in terms of his position.

"We think that (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic will play further and further away from the front line in order to touch the ball more and that he will leave the striker position to Edinson, which happened several times at the end of last season.

"In these conditions, Edi can but only be happy at PSG."
